Talpa Studios’ The Floor secures major international renewals

Following the recent announcement of a second and third season in the USA, Talpa Studios’ hit show The Floor continues its global success with recommissions in three major territories: Italy, France and Germany. Blu Yazmine will produce the show for RAI2 in Italy, and Satisfaction Group will handle production for France Télévisions. In Germany, Cheerio Entertainment will oversee production, and the show will air on SAT.1. As with the first season, the second German season will be recorded at Talpa Studios’ local production hub in the Netherlands.

Another big splash for The Quiz with Balls: Talpa Studios’ hit show travels to Germany

Talpa Studios’ quiz show, The Quiz with Balls, is set to entertain the German viewers this summer. RTL Germany has ordered the fun game show that was produced by Cheerio Entertainment at the local production hub in the Netherlands. For the German version, titled Splash, contestants must work together as a team and answer questions, but each wrong answer gets you knocked into a swimming pool by a massive ball. Teams accumulate prize money as long as they manage to avoid getting soaked. In the end one player will battle it out in the final round for a substantial cash reward. Two celebrity specials have been recorded to get the show off to an exciting start this summer. Splash is set to air on RTL on July 17.

Talpa Studios announces Belgian expansion of hit show The Floor

Talpa Studios is celebrating a significant milestone in the global reach of its internationally acclaimed quiz show, The Floor. The format made its way into its 15th market with the acquisition by Belgium’s leading broadcaster, VTM. The show will be produced by Dok1. Recordings will take place at Talpa Studios’ cutting-edge production hub in The Netherlands, ensuring the show’s high production value. The Belgian version of The Floor is eagerly anticipated to premiere on both VTM and its popular streaming platform, VTM GO!

Millions to be found in the KSA desert: new seasons of hit show ‘Million Dollar Island’ to launch from NEOM, the region’s first international format hub

In an exciting new development, Talpa Studios has announced the recommissioning of its wildly popular survival show, Million Dollar Island, for new seasons in the Middle East and the Netherlands. The upcoming seasons, titled Million Dollar Land for MBC in the Middle East and Million Dollar Desert for NET5 in the Netherlands, will be produced at the cutting-edge production hub in NEOM, Saudi Arabia, in collaboration with Blue Engine Studios.

Record numbers for Talpa Studios’ The Alliance on SBS6

In The Alliance, strategy, teamwork, friendship and betrayal turn out to be a winning combination. Since its launch on SBS6 in the Netherlands in October 2023, the hit reality show has consistently engaged a large and loyal daily audience, maintaining strong viewership even beyond its 100th episode. It has achieved an impressive average market share of 13% in the key 25-59 demographic (including delayed viewing). This confirms its status as the highest-rated show in the 7:30 PM prime time slot since 2017. Due to its outstanding performance, SBS6 has decided to extend the series, committing to an additional series for an indefinite period.

Talpa Studios collaborates with the nation’s biggest artists for brand-new talent show The Headliner

Talpa Studios’ The Floor expands to Sweden

Following its renewal for a second and third season by FOX in the USA, Talpa Studios’ hit show The Floor continues its impressive global journey by expanding its reach to the Nordics. The popular quiz show format has been sold to Sweden, where it will be produced by Jarowskij. The show will be recorded in the Netherlands at Talpa Studios’ production hub. The Swedish version of The Floor is eagerly anticipated to premiere this autumn on Kanal 5 and platform Max, featuring comedian Anders Jansson as host. The Floor is a major international success and a viewer favorite in several countries.

Million Dollar Island makes its debut in Bulgaria

In yet another expansion of its global footprint, the groundbreaking survival show Million Dollar Island is now set to captivate Bulgarian audiences. This time, it’s bTV Media Group that secured the rights from Talpa Studios to adapt this gripping reality format for Bulgaria. The show will be known as The Island of 100 Bracelets and will air this fall on bTV.

Talpa Studios’ No Way Back heads to U.S. with Bear Grylls

Following the successful U.S. debut of the game show The Floor and the announcement of The Quiz With Balls heading to the U.S., Talpa Studios has partnered with Bunim/Murray Productions and The Natural Studios to introduce the new adventure reality sensation No Way Back to American viewers. No Way Back is the first project from Talpa Studios’ strategic partnership with Signal.Stream and has been praised for its innovation and captivating content. In the show, British former SAS trooper Bear Grylls will lead sixteen contestants through a series of unique challenges along a demanding trail, testing their limits and teamwork.
