Online safety policy

Online visibility is essential for our programs. Thanks to platforms like TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook, our content, contestants, and talent can showcase themselves, inspire a broad audience, and make a real impact. Social media allow us to share stories, build communities, and leave a lasting impression.

At the same time, we recognize that increased visibility also brings challenges—such as the impact of hateful comments and inappropriate behavior. As a television producer, we take responsibility for actively supporting participants in this area. That’s why we’ve incorporated a strengthened online safety policy that actively monitors responses, creating a safe, respectful, and positive online environment for everyone.

The goals of our policy

  • To provide a safe online space for contestants, creators, viewers, and followers
  • To actively block hateful or harmful comments
  • To promote positive engagement with our audience
  • To clearly define our role and responsibilities as a producer

Our responsibility

As producers of TV formats, we interact with viewers on social media every day. We build communities, tell stories, and engage with our audience. In doing so, we also take responsibility for the tone of those conversations.

That’s why we enforce strict measures against online hate on our own social media channels. We do not tolerate any form of hateful, discriminatory, or intimidating behavior on our platforms. This applies to everyone—whether you’re commenting on a show, a contestant, or one of our team members. We want everyone on our online platforms to feel welcome, heard, and protected.

Where possible, we work closely with our partners, such as broadcasters and distributors. We actively share our guidelines and approach, and we encourage others to take a stand as well.

At the same time, we recognize that we can only control what happens on our own platforms. What happens on external accounts is not always within our influence. Still, we lead by example and continue the conversation.

What do we define as online hate?

Online hate includes any expression intended to hurt, exclude, or intimidate. This may involve:

  • Personal attacks based on appearance, background, or identity
  • Sexist or racist remarks
  • Name-calling or offensive insults
  • Threats, explicit aggression, or incitement to violence
  • Repeated bullying or amplifying hurtful remarks

Criticism is welcome—hate is not. We make a clear distinction between constructive feedback, which we value, and comments meant to harm others. These behaviors are unacceptable. With this policy, we are taking a direct step toward a safer online environment for everyone involved in our programs. As a major player in the media landscape, we recognize our responsibility to lead by example. That’s why we set firm boundaries, uphold active moderation, and a policy where respect is the standard.
