Talpa Studios, Kinetic Content and Signal.Stream continue creative partnership with new survival format Survive Your Family
Their most recent collaboration, Watch Your Back, delivered strong results as NPO Start’s biggest streaming success since The Mole, achieving a 75% completion rate and strong social momentum. Building on this success, the trio are now turning their focus to Survive Your Family. In this high-stakes survival reality format, families are separated and pushed to their limits, with each side fully dependent on the other. Survival in the wild and intense challenges at base camp put trust, sacrifice and family bonds to the test, as families race to reunite first.
Wouter van der Pauw, founder of Signal.Stream, explains the thinking behind Survive Your Family, referencing one of the company’s other successes, the extreme survival adventure No Way Back: “After No Way Back, participants kept telling us it was the most intense experience of their lives, but impossible to explain at home. That insight stayed with us and led to Survive Your Family. We want to bring that emotional intensity into a shared family experience. By putting family members in opposing roles, the format goes beyond physical survival and exposes trust, responsibility and sacrifice, creating deeper – and more relatable – entertainment.”

In Survive Your Family, families are split into two teams with radically different roles. While two family members are dropped into the jungle without food or tools, the others are left behind at base camp. Their mission: complete demanding challenges to earn essential supplies for their loved ones in the jungle. Every decision has immediate consequences.
